DEAR PITKIN COUNTY COMMUNITY,
I am writing to formally share my initiative in running for Pitkin County Commissioner in 2026.
I am committed to environmental leadership, public health and safety, responsible growth management, economic sustainability, and improving quality of life across our valley. My campaign is focused on addressing the real and immediate issues challenging our residents, regional commuters, and visitors.
I will directly address and work to improve housing accessibility, transportation and mobility, water security, wildfire preparedness, mental and physical healthcare, and community connection. These are not abstract policy areas. They are daily realities shaping whether people can live, work, and remain in Pitkin County. I support and defend every Pitkin County resident’s right to health, safety, economic opportunity, and the enjoyment of living in these mountains and valleys.
As your Commissioner, I will work within a changing landscape of redirected priorities, shifting support, and reduced resources from State and Federal partners. This moment requires not only experience, but active and present leadership that understands today’s financial pressures, workforce challenges, and regional dynamics. I have built strong communication and working relationships with our representatives and will continue to advocate firmly for Pitkin County at both the state and national levels. I bring over 25 years of experience working on these issues and collaborating on solutions that have helped maintain this valley as one of the very best places to live.
I seek to carry forward the work already underway while preparing Pitkin County for the next chapter, grounded in current realities and future opportunity.
Politics and representation work best when they are shaped by the people. I am here to listen, to work, and to help build the strongest Pitkin County possible through collaboration, transparency, and shared responsibility.
